All Permanent Creatures Breeding List

Last updated on 4 November.. new Underground creature, Scorpiopard is seasonal so you will find it on Seasonal page instead.

Look for Apis in Seasonal list as a Father's Day addition although he appears to be permanent now in Market.  Thank you so much, Helen! You will find all details for all Creatures in the list below.   There have been some changes in breeding times in Underground.  (Thanks, Silver for alerting me!) Confirmed by Helen at Frismos and shown in list below.

This page is devoted to all of the permanent Breeding Combinations that occur in Age of Pyramids, both in Egypt and in the Underground.

Note that all breeding Lists are displayed as tabs above every post.  The original Breeding List that includes all Creatures, both permanent and seasonal has been retained, but I have created separate pages now for the Seasonal Creatures and this page for all the permanent Creatures.  It should provide for quick access to information.

Much of this in terms of Creatures that existed prior to 2016  is taken from research performed by a veteran player named Julie Tobako, known also as Aeriawyn in-game.   As she did encourage me to create a guide for the game,  I am not 'stepping on her toes'  in doing so.  Here you will find all possible results for all combinations of creatures, as well as the time each takes to complete the breeding process.  Remember always that there are two stages to any breeding experiment.  The first is the actual pairing and breeding of the two creatures.  The second is the time spent in the cradle or kindergarten as the game refers to it!  The times given here refer only to actual breeding time and not the time in the cradle.  The time spent in the cradle or nursery usually is equal to the time spend in the Breeding Nest, however.

The reason I created my own guide rather than updating any existing Wiki is because I personally am opposed to advertising on sites.  I have been writing guides for games for over two decades and never have allowed advertising on any site I control.  I want my guides to be accessible to all players, whatever the age or speed of their devices.  I therefore do not load my pages with too many photos either for the same reason.  It makes viewing more difficult for some.  You should be able to access any page or post easily on any device, whether a mobile device or PC/laptop.

There are some Level requirements to the Habitats in both kingdoms.  Unfortunately, I initially did not keep a record of these.  I do believe that the Hawk Habitat is unlocked at Level 22 and I have added level requirements as given by other new players.

Players may wonder why one needs a breeding chart such as this one.  Well, in fact, in most cases, you will find the combinations that you need to create any Creature in the Almanac or Scoreboard.  Simply tap on the icon of the Creature you wish to obtain to see not only its description but the two Creatures that must breed in order to create it.  Exceptions to this are the Sand Creatures and the new Vizier Creatures.   I suppose Frismos wanted to keep players in suspense or maintain some mysteries because although the actual Sand Creatures and Vizier Creatures are included in the Scoreboard, their progenitors are not given.

Note that Seasonals sometimes WILL appear temporarily in the Almanac while they remain breedable.  They are withdrawn from Almanac listing when they are removed from the Market.

Almanac or Scoreboard
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The Almanac or Scoreboard is the building with the Eye of Horus above it, found to the right of your kingdom.  It actually is very useful.

For a start, as soon as you place the result of any Breeding combination in a Cradle in the Kindergarten or Nursery, if it is a new Creature for you, the outline of the icon in the Almanac/Scoreboard should light up, showing you that you have achieved this result.  Sometimes you will need to exit the game and re-enter, however, before you see this occur.

The parent pair for any Creature in the Almanac or Scoreboard is shown in silhouettes.  There are icons for all the Basic Creatures:  Jackal, Cat, Serpent, Crocodile, Human and Hawk.   There is a separate Almanace or Scoreboard building In the Underground,  shaped like the Kaaba.  There you will find icons for the basic Creatures found there as well as all Breedable Creatures.  Seasonal Creatures in both kngdoms will be displayed ONLY WHILE THEY REMAIN BREEDABLE.

It is the special non-breedable and seasonal Creatures that are not included in your Almanacs or Scoreboards.  Once you obtain the Creature, in any case apart from a Sand Creature or Vizier Creature, you will be able to see icons of the parent pair in its description.

As all Breeding results are totally, totally random, the breeding period for any Creature is useful only to give you some idea of what Creature is percolating in any situation.  Unfortunately, you have no option BUT to continue with any Breeding experiment, even if the result will be an elementary Creature you neither need nor desire when you are at an advanced point in the game.  There is NO option for abortion of any fetus!!!  You have to finish the breeidng process AND send the Creature to the cradle if you wish to clear the table for another Breeding experiment.

I kind of wish there were an option to abort.  After all, it cannot be a moral issue in a game that encourages live sacrifices of your adult Creatures in the Sanctuary!  On the other hand, Creatures that you do not want to keep can be sold or sacrificed, so you are not forced to house or nourish them indefinitely.  Indeed, you can sell any Level 1 Creature, although, should you wish to Sacrifice instead, you have to fatten it like the Witch in Hansel and Gretel to Level 4 before your offering will be accepted and sent down the river (literally!).

Note that new creatures usually will be listed, not at the beginning of the list, but in the category in which they belong.  In other words, if the creature is Scorpion and Ha for the Underground, like Djinni, you will find it with the other creatures who are created using the same combination.

Breeding or Cloning
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ordinary Hybrid Creatures can be bred.  Any Creature that is listed in the Almanac or Scoreboard can be bred.  A few of the Creatures that you can obtain in the Mystic Pyramid are ordinary creatures and they are listed in the Almanac, but those that are not found there CANNOT be bred.  None of the Creatures that you obtain through the Revive option in the Revive Pyramid can be bred either.  Finally, special promotional Creatures like Nut Skygoddess and many of the Seasonal Creatures cannot be bred.  All of these can be cloned, however.  To clone a Creature, you need two Creatures and you need to use the 'Breed' option to place them in a Breeding Nest or Castle.  The difference here is that one of the two Creatures MUST BE the Creature you wish to create through cloning.  The other Creature usually has to be a Sand Creature.

Players recommend using the Sand Bug for these Cloning attempts mainly because Cloning, like regular Breeding has a random result and therefore may not produce the Creature you desire.  If you use the Sand Creature with the shortest Breeding period, you can finish an unsuccessful experiment faster.  That is the only reason why the Sand Bug is used.   If, however, you happen to have Nut Skygoddess, you may wish to use her instead, as having two Nut Skygoddesses is no bad thing if the Cloning experiment does not succeed.  Note here that the result need not be either of the two Creatures used in the Cloning experiment but can be any Creature of the types attributed to either of these.  Creatures who can be cloned will have two parent attributions, even if you cannot breed them.  Thus, Sekhmet, who cannot be bred, has the icons of Cat and Human.  If you place Sekhmet in a Breeding Nest/Castle with a Sand Bug (icons of Crocodile and Jackal), the best result obviously is another Sekhmet and less desirable, another Sand Bug, but you could produce any Creature who is a combination of Cat, Human, Jackal or Crocodile... thus, cloning is not as easy as it may sound.

How do you know if you can breed a Creature?
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

There is a general 'rule of thumb' where Seasonal Creatures are concerned.  If and when you can find them in the regular Shop or Market in the Creatures or 'New' sections, you CAN obtain them through eegular breeding experiments.  Many of the Creatures show the breeding combination needed in silhouette icons.  If they are Creatures that are placed in the Sand or Vizier habitats, however, you will have to find the Breeding combination here.  Once the Seasonal Creature is removed from the regular Market/Shop, you will NOT be able to obtain it by breeding the combination associated with it.  You only will be able to obtain one through cloning.

This can be rather confusing as some Seasonal Creatures will appear initially in the Market or in the Mystic Pyramid one year but the next year be offered only as a 24 hour promotion.  This was the case in Autumn 2016 with respect to the Pumpkin Mask.    In other words, when you see a Seasonal Creature being offered as a 24 hour promotion but not in the Market, you probably cannot breed it.  If it is in the Mystic Pyramid, but not in the Market, you cannot breed it.

Note of caution:  Seasonal Creatures offered in the Mystic Pyramid disappear once the Season is ended.  Denwen had a Chamber in the Mystic Pyramid but the same day that Frismos removed the breedable Creatures like Lycan of Giza and Djinni from the Market/Shop, the Chamber containing Denwen vanished.

Chat Rooms
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I have written about this elsewhere, but would like to reiterate here that building your Chat building IS useful.  There are two separate 'rooms'.  One is the private group where, if you join, you can help other members speed their breeding, farming and stone quarrying and so on and the other is the 'Global Chat' where you can share information with other players throughout the world.

Listings
xxxxxxx

I write guides not only for other players but for myself.  I noticed that it was easier to find a Seasonal Creature if I listed it with all other Seasonal Creatures rather than simply placing it in the listing for the appropriate Kingdom or World.  I have created a separate page now for ALL Seasonal Creatures.

Breed Times
xxxxxxxxxxx

In Age of Pyramids, there is a twist of sorts when you first combine a Creature recently.  You will see one time and then, immediately after that, the time may be reduced by one hour.  I originally gave the initial time.  In other words, if the combination initially shows 2 days, that is the listing I created, even if it immediately becomes 1 day, 23 hours.  I may reconsider this, however, as the actual time it takes to create the Creature is more significant!

As stated above, some of the newer Creatures will show one time when they first enter the Nest or Castle but the time changes instantly to one that is one hour less.  I will try to make this clear ultimately by giving both times in the list.

For example, Hawkal actually takes 1 day, 7 hours to breed, but the very first time that appears is displayed as 1 day, 8 hours.

Seasonal Creatures
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

This is where a new player or low level player may experience a disadvantage if the Creature is seasonal and appears in the Market instead of being a 24 Hour Promotion.  There are no Level Restrictions to Promotional Creatures.  If you have not unlocked its Habitat yet, you still can purchase it and place it in your Inventory.  For the Seasonal Creatures in the Market, however, I seem to recall that players will be unable to purchase the Creature if they do not have the appropriate Habitat in their Kingdom.  Furthermore, there is a time limit to the Creature's availability in the Market and this, for breeding purposes.  While it is in the Market, you can breed it, but once it is withdrawn from the Market, you no longer will be able to breed the Creature.  Only if you HAVE the Creature will you be able to clone it...

I therefore advise players to try to obtain the Seasonal Creatures first if they can.  The other Creatures will be available indefinitely but the Seasonal Creatures are ephemeral and disappear often quite quickly.  For example, the Chinese Bennuserk disappeared from the Market before the completion of the Lunar New Year festival this year!

Old Seasonal Listings
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Old Seasonal Creatures that were logged by other players before I ever began to play as sometimes they are released again now are listed on my new page that gives ALL Seasonal Breeding information.  Please note the heading.  If the Creature is listed as an Old Seasonal Creature, it will not be available ordinarily.

Mystic Pyramid Creatures:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The Mystic Pyramid is a building that contains a mini-game wherein cards are shuffled and you must choose one.  Each time you choose, the price increases.  Payment is in the form of Scarabs which can be obtained randomly from harvests of food, habitats, ships and inside gifts from friends.  You usually will receive 30 Scarabs from any of these sources if they yield them.

Although these creatures cannot be bred from OTHER creatures, they can be cloned if you have obtained one.  Note that some of the creatures in the Mystic Pyramid can be obtained through breeding and their combinations are given above.  The following list consists only of those that cannot be bred.

The creatures that you will find in the Mystic Pyramid that CAN be bred at any time are: Wadjet, Maunekhe and Ininekhe.  Do not waste your precious Scarabs shuffling for these!  Breed them in ordinary fashion.

The following are the Creatures that cannot be obtained through ordinary breeding and are not Seasonal.  In other words, the Chamber always will exist, even if the time the door is open has expired::

Underground Kingdom
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The Underground is a second Kingdom basically.  There is no Level requirement per se to unlock it.  Instead, you must have obtained a specific number of Creatures or pay Diamonds for the number you lack.  It is best to wait until it can be unlocked without making any payment because, frankly, you are better served by building all possible habitats in your first kingdom and populating them before you attempt to start on the Underground.

There ARE Level Requirements for unlocking some of the basic Creatures, however.

Basic Underground Creatures
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Note:  Where Creatures are concerned, there are no level requirements.  In other words, you can purchase them at any Level BUT their Habitats DO have level requirements.  Therefore, if you have not reached the level at which the Habitat can be built, the Creature essentially is useless temporarily... as it cannot be placed on the land.  It will go into your Inventory, however, for safekeeping until you reach the Level where you can build a habitat for it.   I have included Level Requirements for the Habitats here.

Sorcerer Habitat
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
