4th of July Uncle Sam promotion and Diamond Sale
Frismos has released a 24 hour promotion in the form of Uncle Sam, a creature that inhabits the Vizier Habitat.
In Creatures of Olympus, Uncle Same has been released as well as a 24 hour promotion and there, in the Earth Kingdom, he inhabits the Titan habitat.
More important perhaps internationally, Diamonds now are on sale. If you are a player who never wishes to miss a seasonal Creature, it is a good idea to have at least 1000 Diamonds in 'the bank' for emergency situations. Buying them when they are half the ordinary price is the wisest way to invest.

Father's Day in Age of Pyramids
There are two different Creatures in Age of Pyramids now in honour of Father's Day. The first is Apis, a Creature you ordinarily must obtain by playing the Shuffle Game in the Mystic Pyramid. For a fortnight, he will be available in the Market which means that you can breed him.
Apis:

Celebration of Mother's Day
Motherhood in ancient cultures and civilisations WAS Fertility and thus, both in Age of Pyramids and in Creatures of Olympus, special 24 hour promotions were launched in honour of Mother's Day that gave us gorgeous Fertility goddesses.
In Egypt, we were given the opportunity to purchase the Queen Vizier.
In Creatures of Olympus, a similar promotion gave us the chance to own the ethereal and breathtaking Mother Goddess who is in fact the ancient Goddess of Motherhood and Love and whose symbol always has been a dove. As you can see, she manifests a white dove and then sets it into flight.
The actual animation when she inhabits the Love Habitat is slightly more dramatic. The white dove carries a pink heart and as it flies upwards into the sky, the Goddess leaps up to catch it.

Tip for using the Sanctuary
Note on 26 June 2017: This is a very old post... I believe now that it is best to collect Tokens and NOT use them at all to Revive any one until you have met all the 'Goals'... there are Goals in Egypt that require you to collect a specific number of Tokens, a Goal in fact for each type of Token. For example, you need to collect 10 Yellow Tokens. Unless there is a Seasonal Creature in the Revive Pyramid that ought to be revived before it disappears, save your Tokens and keep collecting until you have achieved all the Token Goals, then begin to revive the Creatures in the Pyramid.
Introduction
xxxxxxxxxx
When you reach Level 35, you will unlock the Revive Pyramid and the Sanctuary. If you have saved a number of Creatures in your Inventory rather than selling your duplicate Creatures, you will be in a good condition to Revive a Creature fairly soon afterwards.
It is not enough to unlock the Sanctuary. One needs to build the Revive Pyramid should one ever wish to revive any Creature! The cost is not dear in terms of Stone: only 30,000 Stones to build it.
Once built, you will see a list of the Creatures that can be revived with their costs: I have included a list below of all Revive Creatures with the Tokens needed to bring each into existence.
After Moving your Creature into a Habitat, you should tap on the Habitat and then tap on the icon of the Creature in the Habitat to open a menu that will allow you to 'Feed' it. All the food you have harvested from your Food Farms will be available and you need to feed the Creature at least until it reaches Level 4, which is the adult stage. If you have not built any of the Statues, your creatures can be raised to Level 10, making it the highest possible earner of its type until you unlock and build the Statues. At the start, feed your Creature first to Level 4 to be able to use it in breeding and then to Level 10 to allow it to generate the greatest number of Coins.
The Token you receive when you sacrifice any Creature depends on the type of Creature you use. Each Creature gives one of two possible Tokens based on its parent types. Any Creature with a Hawk or Hawk Hybrid as a parent can give a Grey (Wing) Token.
The correspondences are:
Jackel: Yellow Token (Star)
Cat: Red Token (Ankh)
Serpent: Purple Token (Dagger)
Crocodile: Blue Token (Water)
Human: Green Token (Eye of Horus or Udjat)
Hawk: Grey Token (Wing)
I made a list below of all the permanent Creatures that can be sent down the river, but it is sufficient to know the basic correspondences for each type of Token. Note that neither Sand nor Vizier Creatures are qualified for use as Sacrifices. At this point in time, therefore, you safely can sell any duplicate Vizier or Sand Creature if you need Coins.
The Grey Tokens are the most difficult to obtain. No Winged Creature has a better than 20% chance of yielding one. Most of the Creatures that can be revived are permanent ones. There is no time limit, therefore, for them in terms of being able to find them in the Revive Pyramid. Since i began to play, however, there have been two 'seasonal' Revive Creatures. The first was the Jackal King, now gone. The second is the Vizier Reindeer, who still is available. For the Vizier Reindeer, one needs a total of 8 Grey Tokens. At the time of its release, I had only 6 in my possession. I had to sacrifice at least 20 more Winged Creatures to obtain the 2 Grey Tokens I lacked. Were it not for the fact that Diamonds were being offered at a sale price and I therefore was able to use speed-ups, I never would have achieved the goal.
TIP: ALWAYS CONTINUE TO SACRIFICE CREATURES EVEN IF YOU HAVE OBTAINED ALL CURRENT REVIVE CREATURES.
An auxiliary to this is that, once you have all existing Creatures in the game, you should try to breed winged Creatures regularly for sacrifice. As the Grey Token is the most difficult to obtain, breeding a constant supply of winged Creatures with a 20% chance of yielding a Grey Token is an excellent strategy. I try to sacrifice a Winged Creature daily if not twice daily.
Obviously, when a new Seasonal Creature or even permanent Creature has been released, I try to breed that one instead, but once I again have all Creatures in the game, I return to the strategy of breeding winged creatures. Fortunately, many of these take no more than 10 hours to breed.
I love this game but find this aspect of it rather gruesome. There is a fundamental ethical issue here: will I sacrifice living if virtual creatures in order to obtain rare ones??? I suppose I shall, but am a little ashamed of myself...
Here are the correspondences for the list of permanent Creatures that can be sacrificed in terms of the probability of obtaining each of the Tokens they can yield:
Anubis: 70% Yellow, 30% Green
Anumau 55% Yellow, 45% Red
Sekhmet: 30% Green, 70% Red
Ashacobra: 60% Yellow, 40% Purple

Mausukh: 35% Blue, 65% Red
Cobrau: 60% Yellow, 40% Purple
Jackadile: 65% Yellow, 35% Blue
Maucobra: 40% Purple, 60% Red
Sukhoapep: 65% Purple, 35% Blue
Creatures in Inventory are not eligible for Sacrifice, nor are Creatures lower than Level 4. I do not see any point in using a high level creature. They are NOT worth more in Tokens, nor do the percentages change at all. Initially, I took a Level 1 Auneckhe from Inventory and swapped him with a high level one, leveled him up to Level 4 and then renamed him 'Victim' so that there would be no confusion when I took him to the Altar. Once in the Sanctuary, I chose the Victim and rather to my consternation, he was placed in a boat and sent down the river! Very, very graphic... had thought the sacrifice would be hidden and more painless.
Another surprise is that the sacrifice process will take 12 hours. I do not know if that is how long the journey itself will take towards whatever dark destination is his, or if that is a bureaucratic time period required to process the paperwork! Anyway, gone was he and I awaited the result.
You CAN use speed-ups on any Sacrifice as well as on the process of Revival once it has begun.
Note that I received only ONE Token for the sacrifice of my poor Creature. Initially, it was a long journey to the point where I could revive any one.
I have to confess that I thought the amounts needed were outrageous until I realised I had misread them all grossly. I was misreading the slash (/) as a seven or one I think! Good thing no one really had used this guide yet. I was sending creatures randomly down the river, thinking that it would take YEARS no matter what to earn enough Tokens to revive any one. Now I shall attempt to sacrifice Creatures who will give the tokens I need. I have almost enough amazingly to revive my first Creature. Instead of 71 Blue Tokens, all I need is 1! (This was written a few months ago. I now have revived all existing Creatures, including the recent Seasonal ones).
Ammit: 2 Yellow Tokens, 1 Blue, 2 Red
Time to Revive: 12 hours
Renenutet: 4 Yellow Tokens, 3 Purple, 1 Green
Time to Revive: 1 Day
Behemoth: 5 Yellow, 1 Grey, 2 Blue, 3 Red
Time to Revive: 2 Days
Manticore: 2 Grey, 5 Purple, 3 Green, 3 Red
Time to Revive: 3 Days
Shezmu: 3 Silver Grey, 5 Purple, 4 Green, 4 Blue, 5 Red
Time to Revive: 4 Days
Anibis: 5 Grey, 5 Purple, 6 Green, 4 Blue, 7 Red
Time to Revive: 4 Days
On 18 November, a new Seasonal Creature was added to the list:
Jackal King: 7 Grey, 7 Purple, 6 Green, 10 Blue, 5 Red
No longer active!
A new Seasonal Creature was added to the Revive Pyramid list for Christmas/New Year:
Vizier Reindeer: 8 Grey, 9 Purple, 7 Green, 8 Blue, 5 Red
Seasonal Revive Creatures
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Initially, I did not realise that there were Seasonal Revive Creatures in the same fashion as the Seasonal Creatures in the Market or Mystic Pyramid. These are available only for a brief time during the Season to which they are attributed, so if you want one, make certain that you move quickly to Revive it. It is where Seasonal Creatures are concerned that the use of speed-ups can be critical.
For example, when the Vizier Reindeer was released, I had all the Tokens needed to Revive him with the exception of two missing Grey Tokens. If I had waited for the ordinary time period for Sacrifices, I never would have achieved the goal. After all, the chance of obtaining a Grey Token from ANY winged Creature is only 20%. I was obliged to Sacrifice at least 20 Winged Creatures before I obtained the 2 Grey Tokens that I lacked for the Vizier Reindeer.
N.B. In view of the appearance of these Seasonal Creatures periodically, I suggest that all players Sacrifice their Creatures on a regular Basis to amass Tokens, even if they have revived all existing Creatures...
The Tokens all are objects or symbols. The Grey is a wing, the Purple is a Dagger, the Green is the Eye of Horus, Blue is flowing Water and Red is an Ankh. I believe they are hieroglyphic letters actually. I recognise a couple of them. Have to look in one of my books on Ancient Egypt...

New Sorcerers for Spring in Age of Pyramids and new breeds in Creatures of Olympus
Last updated on Monday, 22 May with new Sorcerer and new Coral Habitat Salamander.
As of Monday, 3 April, there is a new Underground Habitat in the form of the Sorcerer Habitat and two new Creatures to inhabit it in the form of the Sorcerer Nugera and the Sorcerer Tsiskha. Breeding information below.
In Creatures of Olympus, we recently experienced the addition of a new Habitat in the Water Kingdom in the form of the Coral Habitat, where the Ancient Turtle and now the Jellyfish live.
Age of Pyramids
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sorcerer Habitat:
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
This Underground habitat is unlocked at Level 47 and costs 1900,000 Stones to build. It takes 4 days to complete and when completed, will house two Creatures. The cost of upgrading this habitat is 2500000 Stones.
At present, there are TWO new Creatures for this habitat in the form of the Sorcerer Nugera. and the Sorcerer Tsiskha. You will see the breeding combinations below...
I purchased and cloned my first Sorcerer Nugera. Breed and clone time is 1 day, 18 hours, changing instantly to 1 day, 17 hours... so now I have two of these gorgeous creatures. Frismos confirmed that the breeding combination is Scorpion and Bennu.
Thus:
Sorcerer Nugera
Bred from Bennu and Scorpion
Breeding time: 1 day, 18 hours, changing instantly to 1 day, 17 hours
Sorcerer Tsiskha
Bred from Scarab and Serpopard
Time: 2 days (confirmed now by me)
Sorcerer Nenet
Bred from: Frog and Bennu
Breed time: 2 days
Sorcerer Ahmar
Bred from ?
Time: 2 day, 6 hours
Obtaining Stone
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
The farthest location on the Map where you can send your Ships for Stone is Thinis where in 2 days for the price of 400000 Coins, you will receive 40,000 Stones.
Your ability to purchase additional Ships as well as your ability to send them longer distances on the Map depends on your Level. The Ships are very inexpensive at any Level, although the price of a new Ship increases gradually.
A far more efficient way to obtain Stone is via a Stone Quarry in the Underground. A Stone Quarry costd 300,000 Coins to build (giving 5000 XP) and the original Stone Quarry has two options:
Small Pack costs 200000 Coins and gives 10,000 Stones after 6 hours.
Medium Pack costs 400000 Coins and gives 20000 Stones after 12 hours.
When you upgrade the Stone Quarry, you will have two more options:
Large Pack costs 11000000 Coins and gives 60000 Stones after 24 hours.
Extra Large Pack costs 2000000 Coins and gives 90000 Stones after 36 hours.
As you can see, you receive more Stones faster when you use a Stone Quarry than you will with your beautiful Ships but it always is a good idea to keep both Ships and Quarries active at all times. You never know when more Stones will be needed in this game. A good example of this is the new Sorcerer Habitat!
Creatures of Olympus

In Creatures of Olympus, there is a fairly recent addition to the types of Habitats you can purchase in the Water Kingdom. The new Habitat is the Coral Habitat that houses the new Ancient Turtle and a new Jellyfish. Do not confuse this Jellyfish with the Olympic Jellyfish!
The Coral Habitat costs 9000000 to build and gives 60,000 XP when completed. It houses two Creatures at present in the form of the Ancient Turtle, bred from Seahorse and Dolphin and the Jellyfish, bred from Seahorse and Octopus. Breed times below. The Coral Habitat is unlocked at Level 38.

St. Patrick's Day in Age of Pyramids and Creatures of Olympus
(Above, screenshots of St. Patrick's Dragon in Age of Pyramids, St. Patrick's Dragon in Creatures of Olympus and finally, St. Patrick Lady and Man together in Egypt)
As of Friday, 17 March, St. Patrick's Day Creatures are available both in Egypt and Olympus. They are Creatures that veteran players may have from a previous year, but for new players, you may find the St. Patrick's Lady available as a special 24 hour promotion in both games and the St. Patrick's Man available in the Market, which means that you can obtain him through breeding as well. In Egypt, there is a new St. Patrick's Dragon Vizier Creature.

Feeding your Creatures
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This has nothing to do with St. Patrick's Day but I thought it would be amusing to share some photographs of the tremendous differences that can exist between a 'baby' Creature at Level 1 and a fully grown one at any Level from 4 up to 20, depending on the habitat or habitats of the Creature. Below are two screenshots of the most terrifying Creature in Egypt. His name is Shezmu and most players adore him. He scared me, frankly, and his size was a little off-putting as he towered over all the other Creatures... he is one of the Revive Creatures that you create using Tokens from Creatures you have sacrificed by literally sending them down the river in a boat. I did not revive him until now, partly because he frightened me and partly because I wished to save my Tokens for a possible seasonal creature. I finally caved, though and revived Shezmu... so here he is as a fledgling, newly sprung from his cradle and here he is at Level 10 as well, tossing his enormous scythes in the air.
Well, I have had my fun with the poor Creature. I suppose I ought to feed him and empower him!

Mardi Gras Approaches with New Creatures and New Habitat
Well, I was sorry to see the beautiful St. Valentine's Day creatures vanish from Age of Pyramids and Creatures of Olympus but there are some new additions in both games.
In the Underground in Age of Egypt, we have a new Scorpion/Frog Hybrid called Scorpioheq. Breeding time is 23 hours. (Credit to Shimoo)
In Creatures of Olympus, there is both a new Creature and a new Habitat in the Water Kingdom in the form of the Coral Habitat and the Ancient Turtle who inhabits it. The cost of the Coral Habitat is 9000,000 Coins. Evidently, it unlocks at Level 38 because a player who is a member of our Group at Level 30 who does not have the maximum number of habitats yet in the Water Kingdom found it locked with a prompt to the effect that it will unlock at Level 38. I first bred the Ancient Turtle using a combination that included all four basic types and it took 1 day, 7 hours using a Polipodelphi with a Crayhorse. I now have discovered the basic combination which is simply Seahorse and Dolphin which means that, provided always the Water Kingdom has been unlocked, even players at fairly low levels can breed him although you will not be able to house him until you have reached Level 38. He is quite a feisty character for his advanced age. He breathes out fireballs and does rolls.
There are advantages and disadvantages to using two hybrids that include all four basic parent types. The advantage of course is that you have a better chance of hitting the right combination EVERY time you breed. The disadvantage is really where guide-writing is concerned, as the precise parentage is not established with this method.
The habitat takes 2 days to build and gives 60,000 Experience Points. It can house two creatures. You can upgrade it for 80 Diamonds.

St. Valentine's Day in Age of Pyramids and Creatures of Olympus
As of Friday, 17 February, a promotional Creature has been released both in Age of Pyramids and in Creatures of Olympus. In both games, it is a Love Goddess... in Egypt and in Olympus, it is a creature from the past. As a 24 hour promotion, you need to purchase her when she remains available and will not be able to breed her. Once you have her, you should be able to clone her.
As of Friday, 10 February, new Seasonal Creatures have appeared both in Age of Pyramids and in Creatures of Olympus. One of these Creatures in each of the games was released first in the past, so is not 'new' to every one. The other in each game is completely new.

Lunar New Year, Year of the Rooster
NO SEASONAL LUNAR NEW YEAR CREATURE ACTIVE ANY LONGER
Below, the beginning of the Celebration of the Year of the Rooster in Manila:
New Lunar New Year Creature in Underground in Age of Pyramids shown above.
(Above: Old Seasonal Hades Lunar New Year Creature in the form of the original Chinese Dragon, shown here for comparison purposes only as no longer active.)
(New Chinese Dragon II, the Hades Seasonal Creature just released for this Lunar New Year Celebration, shown above.)
The Lunar New Year is set to begin today, 28 January when we move from the Monkey to the Rooster in the Lunar Asian Zodiac.
Frismos has a tradition of celebrating the Lunar New Year with special seasonal Creatures both in Age of Pyramids and in Creatures of Olympus.
Currently, as of Saturday, 28 January, there are two Creatures that can be bred in Age of Pyramids and Creatures of Olympus. In Age of Pyramids, if you have unlocked the Underground, you can breed the Chinese Bennuserk using Scorpion and Bennu. Breed time is 1 day, 5 hours. (It will start as 1 day, 6 hours but change to 5 instantly.). In Creatures of Olympus, a new Chinese Dragon in Hades has been released in the form of the Chinese Dragon II. The original Chinese Dragon had the combination of Lion and Serpent with a breeding time of 2 days. This one is the same both with respect to combination and in breeding time.
The first Creature in Creatures of Olympus to celebrate the Lunar New Year, I believe, was the Green Goat. As Creatures of Olympus is an older game than Age of Pyramids, there was no comparable Goat Creature for Egypt as far as I know.
The next Creatures were Dragons. In Egypt, there was a seasonal Chinese Dragon and in Olympus Hades, there was a Chinese Dragon as well.
What has occurred is that Frismos has offered the old Monkey Zodiac Creatures to us as special Promotions both in Age of Pyramids and in Creatures of Olympus. In Age of Pyramids, the Monkey King is a Creature for Egypt. In Creatures of Olympus, it is a Creature of Earth.
Now, on the first day of the Lunar New Year, as previously indicated, there are new Creatures both in Age of Pyramids and in Creatures of Olympus.
Remember that it is only if a special seasonal Creature is in the Market that you actually can breed it from the two parent types. If it is a special Promotion or a Mystic Pyramid seasonal or a Revive Pyramid Creature, it must be cloned.

Happy Christmas from Freyashawk! New Seasonal Creatures Breeding List
(Christmas Dragon in Hades in Creatures of Olympus)
I would like to wish all players a very happy Holiday season, a Happy Christmas and New Year!
You will find separate pages above every post that provide breeding information for ALL Creatures both in Egypt and in Creatures of Olympus. There is a separate tab for each. Seasonal Creatures are included but I thought for easy access, I would list the Seasonal Creatures for 2016 Christmas here as well both for Age of Pyramids and Creatures of Olympus. As of Wednesday, 28 December, I finally was able to breed the Christmas Dragon in Hades in Creatures of Olympus, thanks in part to a hint by Helen from Frismos.

8 Grey Tokens
9 Purple Tokens
7 Green Tokens
8 Blue Tokens
5 Red Tokens
The process of revival will take 4 days. I believe the cloning time is 2 days, 6 hours but need to confirm this.

U.S. Thanksgiving Festival 2016
A new Creature and an old seasonal Creature both are available in the Market now. The new Creature is Tutanbarley, a combination of Human and Serpent, breeding time 1 day, 19 hours. The Creature from last year who has returned is The Cursed Turkey, Cat and Hawk combination, breed time 1 day. As long as they appear in the Market, you can breed them.
There is another new Creature in the form of the Jackal King who is found in the Revive Pyramid. He therefore is not a seasonal Creature although he appeared today as well for the first time. He required more Tokens to revive than any of his predecessors as follows:
Jackal King:
7 Grey Tokens
7 Purple Tokens
6 Green Tokens
10 Blue Tokens
5 Red Tokens
The sheer number of Tokens required for this one makes one aware of the wisdom of continuing to sacrifice dupilcate Creatures even when one has exhausted the Revive Pyramid List. A new Creature could be added at ANY time!
In Creatures of Olympus, the seaonsl Thanksgiving Creatures are the Roman Turkey and Autumn Fairy. As the Roman Turkey is an old seasonal offered once again, its habits and parentage were known. Use a Bull and Eagle. Breeding time is 2 days. The Autumn Fairy, however is new and I wanted her very badly before I have to go into hospital for an operation... I got her today using Eagle and Fish. Breeding time is 24 hours. So very pleased and hope it will be a good omen.
Finally, at the end of this week, two more Creatures were released. In Egypt, the Creature is to be found in the Underground in the form of the Scorpion King. He is bred from Scorpion and Ha and breeding time is 1 Day 22 Hours.
In Creatures of Olympus, the Creature is in the Water World and is the Coraline Stallion. No one yet has logged either the breeding combination or breeding time for this one. One hopes we will have a few days to solve the mystery and obtain this delicate new sea creature.
Thanks to Silver Elf for Scorpion King breeding time.
Tutanbarley and John Barleycorn
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The oldest form of brew is Barley Beer probably, made from emmer barley. One of the most ancient legends from Canaan is about the god Mot and his sacrifice at the hands of the goddess Anat. It is one of the oldest poems about the seasonal Sacrifice of the Eternal God/King and it features the God of the Underworld, Mot by Anat.
'She seizes Mot the son of El,
With a blade she cleaves him;
With a shovel she winnows him;
With fire she parches him;
With a millstone she grinds him,
In the field she sows him.,
His remains the birds eat.
The wild creatures consume his fragments,
Remains from remains are sundered.'
It is, of course, the most ancient rite of Sacrifice of the Grain and its resurrection through the planting of the seed
The legend of John Barleycorn is English rather than Egyptian. It is a myth of Eternal Sacrifice and there is an old folksong about the rite.
'There were three men came out of the West,
Their fortunes for to try.
And these three men made a solemn vow,
John Barleycorn must die.
They've plowed, they've sown, they've harrowed him in
Threw clods upon his head,
And these three men made a solemn vow,
John Barleycorn was dead.
They've let him lie for a very long time,
'Til the rains from heaven did fall,
And little Sir John sprung up his head,
And so amazed them all!
They've let him stand 'til Midsummer's Day
'Til he looked both pale and wan,
And little Sir John has grown a long, long beard,
And so become a man.
They've hired men with their scythes so sharp
To cut him off at the knee,
They've rolled him and tied him by the way
Serving him most barbarously.
They've hired men with their sharp pitchforks
Who've pricked him to the heart.
And the loader he has served him worse than that,
For he has bound him to the cart.
They've wheeled im round and round a field
Til they came unto a poind,
And there they made a solemn oath
On poor John Barleycorn.
They've hired men with their crabtree sticks
To cut him skin from bone,
And the miller he has served him worse than that,
For he has ground him between two stones.
And little Sir John and the nut brown bowl
And his brandy in the glass
And little Sir John and the nut brown bowl
Proved the strongest man at the last.
The huntsman he can't hunt the fox
Nor so loudly blow his horn
Without Sir John Barleycorn.

'She seizes Mot the son of El,
With a blade she cleaves him;
With a shovel she winnows him;
With fire she parches him;
With a millstone she grinds him,
In the field she sows him.,
His remains the birds eat.

Ancient Egyptian Phrases and Freyashawk Age of Pyramids Group on Facebook
I always have loved languages. The more obscure they are, the more they interest me. I created a little Group on Facebook for Age of Pyramids, hoping that some of the players who use Global Chat in the game especially will join. The Global Chat is essentially for game help and conversation is limited at best. On Facebook, there is no limit to the amount of conversation a player can have with others.
It occurred to me that it would be interesting if we learned a few basic phrases in Ancient Egyptian. I believe it is most similar to modern Coptic.
I will create a page on this site for the phrases that you will be able to access through a tab link at the top of any post.
Meanwhile, however, here is the first phrase:
English: Live forever!
Ancient Egyptian: A'nkh djet!
It is a polite and very charming greeting.

Low Level Breeding Tip and Seasonal Creatures
First of all, some players wonder why I bothered to create a site for either Age of Pyramids or Creatures of Olympus when an extensive Wikia site exists. The difference really is that my site does not include ANY adverts. You can visit any page on this site and obtain information instantly without being forced to endure the loading of advertisements from outside iagents. I never have allowed any advertising to be included with my guides and I never will.
That having been said, I wanted to share my recent 'Seasonal' experiences both in Age of Pyramids and in Creatures of Olympus and to share a trick for obtaining Creatures you cannot breed using the basic combinations simply because your level is not high enough to have unlocked the necessary habitats.
I began playing both of these games only in mid-June when I was in hospital for major surgery. The internet connection was terrible, but I found that I could spend a brief time in Age of Pyramids, Creatures of Olympus and Fish Adventure Seasons where I was unable often to play a game like Family Farm Seaside.
Thus, when Hallowe'en came, my levels were still not high enough to have unlocked all Habitats. In Age of Pyramids, I was unable to buy the Ha Habitat ab initio in the Underground, because I had not reached Level 45. In Creatures of Olympus, I was unable to purchase the Bird Habitat in Hades or the Octopus Habitat in the Water Kingdom.
Low Level Breeding Trick
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I worked like a maniac and ultimately was able to unlock the Ha Habitat in Egypt Underground and in Olympus, the Octopus Habitat in the Water Kingdom but I was unable to progress far enough for the Bird Habitat in Hades. Rather than spending a colossal number of Diamonds to purchase the Nightmare Horse outright, I bought the least expensive Bird and Wolf combination and used that to try to obtain the Nightmare Horse. It took many attempts and many speed-ups but I did it in the end. Having unlocked the Octopus Habitat, I was able finally to breed Kelpie after many unsuccessful attempts and speed-ups.
In Egypt, Freyashawk bought the Egyptian Bat outright and then used that to breed Djinni.
Ordinarly, I swear by the basic combinations both in Egypt and in Olympus. Unless I am trying to clone a non-breedable creature, I use two basic creatures always in breeding. Where a player has not been able to unlock one of the basic habitats, however, and is determined to breed a seasonal Creature, he/she shoudl go to the market to find the least expenive Creature who carries both the parent types needed for the Seasonal Creature. You can place it in the Habitat you HAVE unlocked and then use it to breed the Seasonal Creature. Along the way, you may breed another hybrid that carries the basic type you need but whose habitat is not yet unlocked, allowing you to have two breeding experiments at all times, even if you have not unlocked the high-level habitat.
The Nature and Timing of Seasonal Creatures
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Halloween was the first time I encountered 'Seasonal Creatures' in both games. I now know what to expect. Initially, I had thought they would be pulled from the game the day AFTER Halloween, but there was a grace period that extended to Friday. They were pulled from the game on Friday morning, P.S.T. (Frismos operates from California).
What this meant was that, if you had the Seasonal Creature in your Breeding Castle or in the Nursery/Kindergarten, it would not vanish even when the Creature was pulled from the market. I doubt, however, that you would be able to start a new breeding experiment and expect to obtain the Creature even that day if it no longer appeared in the Market.
The Creature who was in the Mystic Pyramid disappeared as abruptly and even if the player had just opened the door to the Chamber and should have had 6 days to try for it, the chamber no longer existed. I had not expected THAT but it was confirmed by a number of players.
Seasonal Creatures are introduced before the actual Holiday date. It appears that they are brought into the game gradually rather than being placed all at once. One should not expect to have too many days AFTER the Holiday date to continue to try to breed the Creature but one does have a small grace period in each case, according to veteran players.

Halloween Creatures in Age of Egypt
Denwen was released last week as a Creature who could be won in the Mystic Pyramid Shuffle game. Now we have the Lycan of Giza, who can be bred in ordinary fashion using Jackal and Human. Breeding time is 1 day, 12 hours.
At the same time, there are special seasonal Creatures in the Underground. One of these is Djinni, an entirely new Creature and the other is the Egyptian Bat, from a previous year but brought back to us for the season.
Both Creatures are breedable so long as they appear in the Market.
Djinni is bred from Ha and Scorpion with a breeding time of 2 days.
The Egyptian Bat is bred from Ha and Bennu and has a breeding time of 1 day.
The Creatures of Olympus Game has some seasonal Creatures as well. Two of these were promotional purchases in the form of the Sinner Goat and now, Count Dracula. In these cases, you must purchase the Creature within a 24 hour period. Once purchased, you should be able to clone it, but you will not be able to breed an original.
The Sinner Goat is an older Creature, Goat and Eagle who can abide in either of those Habitats. Count Dracula is a Royal Creature who only can be placed in the Royal Habitat.
The other Halloween Creatures ARE breedable by ordinary methods. Two are in Hades and the other is in the Water World.
The Hades Creatures are the Wolf of Macedon and the Nightmare Horse. The Wolf of Macedon is bred from Wolf and Kobalos with a breeding time of 1 day and 11 hours. The Nightmare Horse is from a previous year and is a Fire Creature bred from Bird and Wolf with a breeding time of 2 days
Kelpie is the Creature for the Water World, bred from Octopus and Seahorse with a breeding time of 2 days and 8 hours.
How to Breed a Seasonal Creature without meeting Level Requirements
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This option does require an investment in premium Cash (Diamonds) but one would hope not as many as if one were to purchase the seasonal Creature outright.
Some Seasonal Creatures, like the Lycan of Giza, do not require very high levels for the player as he is bred from Jackal and Human and neither Habitat requires a high level of Experience in the game. In other cases, however, as in the case of the Halloween Underground Creatures this year in the form of Djinni and the Egyptian Bat, both of whom are bred from Ha, you need to be at Level 45 in order to unlock the Ha Habitat.
How then can you hope to obtain either of these Creatures if your Level is lower unless you spend 750 Diamonds for the Egyptian Bat or 1100 Diamonds for Djinni? Well, there is a way... but only if you have unlocked the habitat for the OTHER half of the breeding equation.
Djinni is bred from Ha and Scorpion. The Egyptian Bat is bred from Ha and Bennu. If you are willing to spend a few hundred Diamonds, you can purchase the least expensive Creature that has Ha as half of the equation and then try to breed these Creatures. You will have a better chance of success if the Creature is Ha and Scorpion or Ha and Bennu but even if it is Ha with a Creature that is not part of the Djinni or Egyptian Bat equations, you may be able to obtain the Halloween Creatures.
An example for this particular exercise would be Mathayus priced at 450 Diamonds. He is Scorpion and Ha, like Djinni. Buy him, place him in the Scorpion Habitat and then pair him with a Scorpion to try to obtain Djinni... or having placed him in the Scorpion Habitat, you then can pair him with Bennu to try to obtain the Egyptian Bat. The problem with the latter pair is that it could create a Creature that is Bennu and Scorpion rather than Bennu and Ha.
Note that Frismos gives a grace period to farmers for seasonal Creatures. In other words, you should have to the end of the week to be able to breed one. Results always are random, however, within the group created by the same pairing.

Denwen, new Seasonal Creature in Mystic Pyramid Shuffle
A new creature appeared today in the Mystic Pyramid. For those who have gone through the entire sequence, it will be avaialbe in the Shuffle game immediately. For those who still have other creatures to win, it will appear in the last chamber.
It is Denwen, who inhabits the Vizier habitat when obtained. Denwen will vanish in a puff of black smoke while bats circle the area, then reappear. Quite a draamatic addition to Egypt!
Please note that a comprehensive breeding list for Egypt and one for Creatures of Olympus are found in the tabs above every post on this site, including this one.

Comprehensive Breeding Lists for Age of Pyramids and Creatures of Olympus
Visitors to this site have missed the actual Breeding Lists for Age of Pyramids and Creatures of Olympus, probably because they are not familiar with sites hosted by Google. The comprehensive Breeding Lists for both games are to be found in tabs that appear ABOVE every post. Look above this post and you will see both game lists. Much of the information was logged originally by players of these games and I am indebted in particular to Julie Tobako, aka Aeriawyn. There is an excellent global forum in Age of Pyramids where players exchange information and you usually can find some one who has succeeded in breeding a new Creature. There is no such forum in Olympus, however, making a Breeding List much more significant. The only reason my site may be preferable to the Wikias is because I refuse to allow advertising on my sites. This allows any user to access my information quickly and easily, whatever the age of his/her computer or tablet.
